Karuna® Reiki Treatment

Having previously had two Usui Reiki treatments with Jane I was curious about the differences with Karuna®.  I was not sure what to expect. In some ways it was much the same. Jane helps you to feel completely at ease and that makes it possible to completely relax and enjoy the session. In many ways though it was very different! Firstly the ‘toning’ was new. I knew Jane was likely to use toning as she’d warned me beforehand so I knew what to expect.  It was very calming on a physical level, like the humming resonated with me tangibly. The sensations were not as pronounced for me as they were during my Usui treatments, where I felt tingling, saw colours, and had strong emotional reactions of tears and laughter, it felt more subtle than that… Karuna is lovely, like a gentle, caring, compassionate hug for your mind, body and soul! After the treatment Jane talked me through some of the blockages she’d found in my energy and it brought to light some past traumas that were also uncovered during my Usui treatments, but with Karuna I felt like some of the traumas of the past had been healed. I was brought face to face with some of my traits that had previously been self-limiting, and it was very refreshing to be able to then look at them objectively and realise that I could accept them as part of me, and that they don’t need to hold me back. The Karuna session reinforced in my mind that the career change I am planning is the right thing for me to do, and that I have good friends and family behind me to support me, and that’s very empowering.  Lesley, Wiltshire
