This month celebrates love, friendship and healing….

On the 14th we celebrate and appreciate love, love of others, love of ourselves, love of life and living.  But I      wonder, do you spend time loving yourself?  Can you truly love your horse and others if you don’t love yourself first?  Giving yourself positive messages, praise and joy?  If you spend a few minutes a day in meditation, use your Reiki for self treatments then well done and keep up the good work.  Did you know that it is also beneficial to your general health and wellbeing if you stop and think about all those positive things in your life (no matter how small) and give yourself positive messages, praise and see the best in things that happen each day?  Self love is very healing to our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health.  If we are filled with joy, love, health and calm, then our horse(s) will appreciate our caring and giving so much more as they will just feel the love emanating from us!  We can then share the bliss…

Heart Chakra – Love & Healing
By doing meditation and energy healing with your Heart Chakra you can work with your higher consciousness and love.  The Heart Chakra is not only linked to the physical heart but also to our relationships and how we communicate with our horse(s) and humans.  By working with the Heart Chakra we start to balance ourselves and learn about who we are and where we are going in life.  We learn to accept others for what they represent, their values and their individual life journey so that we can support and help them whenever we feel able to.  This is also true for our horse(s) as they have their life paths to follow as well.  We need to respect and work with them through the tough times as well as enjoying the good times together.

A balanced Heart Chakra allows us to be free in our expression of ourselves, to develop, grow and learn.  To love ourselves and others unconditionally and to enjoy life in our own way, not depending upon others to provide direction.  We find that when the Heart Chakra is in balance we have more positive relationships with those we love and we can find the discipline to follow our path with faith and courage.  When we are confident, strong and in balance mentally and emotionally, I believe we can develop a stronger bond with our horse(s).

Healing the Heart Chakra with Crystals
The crystals used for the Heart Chakra are the Green Aventurine – the energy can help you with mental or emotional issues.  It also helps in decision making, bringing you a sense of clarity.  

You can also use the Rose Quartz as it is related to self love, love of others and of life itself.  The Rose Quartz energy is calming, soothing, warm and gentle and helps you to overcome feelings of self-criticism and resentment.

Here are 10 Steps to using Crystals for Balancing the Heart Chakra
Using either the Aventurine or Rose Quartz Crystal:
1.  Find a quiet place to sit for 10 minutes (or longer if possible).
2.  Protect and ground yourself.
3.  Take a few deep breaths.
4.  Place the crystal in your left hand with any point facing towards your elbow.
5.  Bring your hands together in Gassho (prayer) position at the centre of the Heart Chakra so that the crystal is in both hands.
6.  Start to visualise or feel the energy of the crystal (it’s colour, vibration, temperature) expanding into your Heart Chakra.
7.  Bring to mind any issues that are disturbing you.
8.  When you are ready, ask the Universe, your Angels or Spirit Guides to remove any blocks or feelings that you have around the issue(s) and ask that they be dispersed into the Universe without any harm to any living being for the greatest good of all concerned.
9.  Once you have completed your request, take a deep breath and sit quietly contemplating with your crystal until you feel that they energy has dispersed and you are feeling more relaxed about the situation.
10.  To finish the meditation, thank all for helping you with these issues and know that things are being resolved in the best possible way.

Using Reiki with Crystals for Balancing the Heart Chakra
Follow steps 1 and 2 as above and then:
At Reiki First Degree Level:
– Connect with the Reiki healing energy as usual
– Follow on with steps 3 to 10
At the end of the meditation, disconnect from the Reiki energy and bow, thanking all your guides for their help with clearing your issues.
At Reiki Second Degree Level:
– Connect with the Reiki healing energy as usual
– Invoke the Sei He Ki (Mental Emotional Symbol) energy
– Once you can feel a strong connection with the Reiki symbol’s energy continue following on with steps 3 to 10
At the end of the meditation, disconnect from the Reiki energy and bow, thanking all your guides for their help with clearing your issues.
At Usui Reiki Master Level:
– Connect with the Reiki healing energy as usual
– Invoke the Dai Ko Myo (either Symbol) energy
– Once you can feel a strong connection with the Reiki symbol’s energy continue following on with steps 3 to 10
At the end of the meditation, disconnect from the Reiki energy and bow, thanking all your guides for their help with clearing your issues.
At Karuna Master Level:
– Connect with the Reiki healing energy as usual
– Invoke the Shanti Symbol’s energy
– Once you can feel a strong connection with the Reiki symbol’s energy continue following on with steps 3 to 10
At the end of the meditation, disconnect from the Reiki energy and bow, thanking all your guides for their help with clearing your issues.
